Galentine’s is all about celebrating the incredible women in our lives, and this year, I wanted to make it extra special with a theme that felt both elegant and endearing—"Mon Chéri." It is French for "my dear," but with a playful twist as"Chéri" sounds like "cherry," setting the stage for a dreamy, red-hued soirée filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest details. Let’s dive in!

The Dreamy Red Tablescape

The heart of any dinner party is the tablescape, and for this one, I wanted to capture an intimate and lush experience.

Red Florals & Candlelight: I filled the table with deep red flowers like roses and candles, setting the tone for an intimate and inviting space. Created a dramatic centerpiece with blooming roses. The flickering candlelight added just the right amount of glow.

Bow Shaped Napkins: Each place setting featured a folded red napkin in the shape of a bow (which, fun fact, can also be folded into a heart!). All of these can be learned from watching a TikTok tutorial!

Bow Details: Bows weren’t just for the napkins—I pinned up the tablecloth for that Bridgerton charm and added red ribbon bows along the tablecloth sides.

Balloons & Draped Fabric: Red balloons floated above, while soft white fabric draped all around created an ethereal soft backdrop. The contrast of red and white made the space feel elegant yet romantic.

Thoughtful Keepsakes

I wanted my friends to walk away with something tangible—something that reminded them of how much they are loved.

Personalized Photo Keepsakes: Each guest received a vintage Polaroid print notecard of themselves in a stunning moment as a keepsake. Because let’s be real—everyone deserves to feel iconic.

Love Letters: Alongside their photo, I wrote each of them a love letter, sealed with wax (because old-school romance is the best kind). Nothing beats the power of words when it comes to making people feel seen and appreciated.

Custom Galentine’s Matchboxes: These matchboxes added a chic, retro touch—because every fabulous soirée deserves a personalized touch and for the guests to collect for every Galentine’s party.

A Beautifully Delicious Spread

For the food, I wanted to elevate the presentation, so I stacked boxes under the table and draped a tablecloth over them to create varying heights. Height adds dimension and visual interest, making everything feel more abundant and indulgent. I used sliver trays and serving dishes to give the overall spread a classy vintage look.

Vintage Heart Cherry Cake: My friend baked a stunning vintage-style heart shaped red velvet cake with delicate piping and cherries on top. A true showstopper. It was a crime to dig into it with our glasses!

Charcuterie Goblets: Instead of a traditional board, I served individual charcuterie cups in dessert goblets—because who doesn’t love a little personal grazing moment?

Heart-Shaped Pizza: A playful yet gourmet touch, because comfort food belongs at every gathering.

Cherry Mocktail Tower: A tower flight of cherry mocktails added a celebratory feel (and, of course, made for the cutest clinking cheers moment).

Caviar & Blini: A little luxe never hurts—small, delicate bites that felt extra indulgent for the occasion.

An Intimate Game for a Meaningful Night

A fun activity to incorporate to a dinner party is a the game We’re Not Really Strangers that would encourage deep conversation and connection. If you haven’t played this game before, it’s a must. It led to the most heartfelt conversations, inside jokes, and a few sentimental tears—the best kind of bonding moment.
